The municipal government of Tequisquiapan has re-launched the “More Scholarships for You” program, providing educational assistance through which it seeks to contribute to the Tequisquiapan family economy.
The mayor, Jose Antonio Mezia Lira, explained that there are a total of 848 scholarship holders, including a minimum of 9, with 648 associated with primary schools, 186 with secondary schools and 14 with general schools.
He noted that for this, the municipal government has invested one million 845 thousand pesos annually, to help reduce school dropouts and encourage public education students at their various levels.
He explained that one of the pillars of his administration is the well-prepared students, because in this way there will be better professionals in Tequila.
“A government, no matter how well-intentioned we may be, will be in vain without parental support; This is why we invest in work and food programs to improve the lives of residents; “If we don’t have a healthy society, it would be a lie to talk about transformation. The power that represents children and youth is a reality, so we will continue to invest in education.”
