Junta de Castilla y Leon, in its commitment to equal opportunities, facilitates the continuity of higher education for the students of that university in more adverse economic conditions. To achieve this, the Official Gazette of Castilla y Leon (Bocyl) today collects a second call for study aid targeting undergraduate students at community universities in the 2021-2022 academic year. Thus, the autonomous government continues to supplement state study aid with a budget reaching 3, 3,100,000.
For the second year in a row, and due to changes in support from the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MEFP), the Ministry of Education established two methods. Students are targeted for academic achievement in the second year and beyond and will be rewarded with credits passed in the 2020-2021 academic year. The regional administration will allocate more than 1.5 million euros for this assistance and the amount for this concept can in no case be less than one euro or more than ten per credit.
Beneficiaries must be enrolled in a minimum of 60 credits in the current academic period and have a net family income of less than 14,112 euros for a member to be counted in 2020; 24,089 euros, for two; 32,697 euros, for three; 38,831 euros, for four; 43,402 euros, for five; 46,853 euros, for six; 50,267 euros, for seven; And 53,665 euros for eight. From the eighth member, 3,391 euros will be added for each new countable member.
In the case of the rental system, with a budget of more than 1.5 million euros, all undergraduate students can also benefit. In addition, it intends to contribute to expenses incurred due to university studies that do not exceed certain income thresholds. The minimum amount of this aid is 100 euros and the maximum is 350 For this approach, they would have to have a net family income of less than 8,422 euros for a member to be counted in 2020; 12,632 euros, for two; 16,843 euros, for three; 21,054 euros, for four; 24,423 euros, for five; 27,791 euros, for six; 31,160 euros, for seven; And 34,529 euros for eight. From the eighth member, 3,368 euros will be added for each new countable member.
Finally, if one of these approvals does not run out of credit, the rest can be used to finance the other. If there is sufficient budget to meet the minimum amount set for each method, the maximum global amount allocated with the maximum amount limit will be shared among the beneficiaries.
