BERLIN (DPA) – As part of the Artist in Residence program, three more grants have been awarded for an artistic studio on the roof of the Federal Foreign Office (AA) in Berlin. This year, according to information received from Monday, Milan-based Serbian painter Zoran Minic, Filipino-Canadian artist and filmmaker Stephanie Comillang and Bulgarian photographer Marta Dourina can each work in the studio for three months.
The program, which has existed since 2015 and is run by the Berlin Gallery Association, aims to promote international co-production of industry and knowledge, network culture and enable dialogue across borders. During the stay, artists receive a monthly grant of 1,000 euros and events are also organized.
