Scholarships for women in technology, engineering and mathematics

The Education and All Foundation has announced its partnership with Qatar’s Huawei Technologies to provide scholarships for three female students at the University of Qatar in an effort to increase women’s participation in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. To give them the opportunity to get quality education in the country. The initiative is part of the Foundation’s Qatar Scholarship Program, which gives young Qatari youth the opportunity to pursue higher education through their community’s exceptional educational qualifications and leadership skills, and Huawei’s Tech4Her Scholarship Program.
Commenting on the initiative, Ali Al Subai, Executive Director of Human Resources at the Education Above All Foundation, said: Women are no exception, the opportunities offered by the STEM fields are growing, and it is important that girls and women have equal access to them, these scholarships will be an inspiration to those who want to work in these fields we look forward to supporting young women. ”
Huawei Technologies assists the young women who receive the scholarship by providing them with state-of-the-art laptops to support their studies, as well as provide them with paid internships and other career development opportunities.
For her part, Liam Zhao, CEO of Huawei in the North Gulf, emphasized the importance of the role of women in STEM in creating a more equal and diverse society and ensuring that these sectors benefit from diverse talent.

Through the Qatar Scholarship Program, EAA has so far awarded 92 scholarships in partnership with Doha’s leading educational institutions and universities, including the Qatar Foundation, Qatar University, Standen Qatar University of Applied Sciences, University of Calgary in Qatar and Al Shamal College The Atlantic.
