The Japanese Embassy in the Kingdom, representing the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, is offering a scholarship program called “Mext” for Bahraini nationals interested in studying in Japan.

In a statement to Al-Ayyam, the embassy confirmed that the Japan Government Scholarship Program was established in 1954, with the aim of enhancing mutual understanding between the people of Japan and other countries, as well as making international contributions to education. . Scholarship benefits include Japan-Bahrain travel fees, tuition fees and monthly stipends.

The embassy indicates that more than 115,000 students from 160 countries and regions around the world have benefited from the program since its inception in May 2020, including about 40 Bahraini students who have been studying at Japanese universities since 1994 and currently have 4 Bahraini students in Japan.
