Scholarships for Agricultural Students | Top Agriculture Online

There are many programs in Germany for financial assistance during training for students and trainees. In most cases, however, these are not specifically designed thematically and target a wide range of people. In addition to well-known funding programs such as Deutschlandstipendium, there is growing support, especially for young people in the agricultural sector. We’ve put together some programs that provide financial support as well as technical expertise in the agricultural sector.

Overview grant

Ferdinand von Locho Scholarship: Every year, KWS SAAT provides scholarships to students who are committed to crop production and plant breeding. Students at the Osnabrুকck University of Applied Sciences with undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in agriculture and agribusiness, as well as postgraduate students at the University of Hale-Wittenberg in the fields of grain, agricultural science, reproduction and agronomy can participate. Masters students in agricultural science and breeding at Hohenheim University can also participate. KWS supports scholarship holders with 500 per month for one year. Jeff Shell Grants: A scholarship for agricultural science students and / or young professionals who want to implement special projects (internships, research work) abroad. Prerequisites for personal financial support are two years of professional experience, good grades and a well-planned project, including a project submission and cost planning and confirmation from the recipient organization. Helmut class grant: Each year, the Class Foundation offers four scholarships to students of agricultural technology, agricultural science, engineering, and economics to support a thesis with a clear connection to agricultural technology and agriculture. Four scholarship holders will be supported for one year with a monthly grant of € 600 for the first place, € 500 for the second place, 400 400 for the third place and € 300 for the fourth place. Germany grant

Grants from the LV Munster Foundation: As of this year, students in the Master’s program in Agricultural Economics at the University of South Westphalia Applied Sciences have the opportunity to receive a scholarship from the LV Munster Foundation. Students with excellent academic achievements in undergraduate degrees who are socially and politically committed inside and outside agriculture are supported. In addition to the total 6,000 (প্রতি 250 per month) funding for two years, students receive support from the Foundation during this time. Grants from the Edmund Rehwinkel Foundation For Masters students with a focus on agriculture or nutrition. They are usually funded with € 500 per month for more than two years and include seminars on leadership skills, personality and methodological training. More about this here.

That VLI grant Provides সহায়তা 500 financial support per month for one year. The scholarship year begins with the winter semester in October. Anyone who volunteers or is involved in other ways besides their studies has a good chance of being invited to an interview. In addition to financial injections, there are opportunities to participate in conferences and VLI events and to communicate with executives of VLI member organizations from agribusiness. Foundation for Talented Vocational Education

Scholarship from Foundation for Talent Promotion of German Agriculture EV: Financial assistance to enable young professionals in the agricultural sector to undertake further training. Applicants must not be over 30 years of age (not more than 36 in exceptional cases) and must have completed a master’s / master’s / postgraduate examination or at least a “good” degree from a technical or agricultural college. Also, participation in the federal decision of a professional competition in the agricultural sector and the selection of volunteer work in a leading position in an agricultural professional organization. Scholarship from Carl Eigen and Dr. HC Dietrich Brewer Foundation The Union for the Promotion of Oil and Protein Plants (UFOP) supports diploma theses and doctorates with new scientific discoveries in the field of proteins and oil plants. Students and doctoral candidates from German and European (technical) universities may be scholarship holders with average performance and personal aptitude. Helmut Orange Grant: Hohenheim University students with higher-than-average qualifications in agriculture, nutrition and economic sciences have the opportunity to receive financial support for a study / research project in a permanent EU country for several months. This should serve as the basis for your thesis. Divisible grants up to € 5,000 are possible. More info here.

Promotional awards

Albrecht Daniel Thor Promotional Award: Graduates of Humboldt University Berlin with outstanding degrees from the Faculty of Life Sciences can apply for the award along with their thesis. It aims to promote young scientists in agriculture, horticulture and fisheries. The prize is 150 150 for the best bachelor’s degree, 250 250 for the best postgraduate or diploma degree and 400 400 for the best doctorate. More info here.

Ernst Pelz Award: The Central Agricultural Raw Materials Marketing and Energy Network eV (CARMEN eV) awards this € 10,000 annually for outstanding merit in the promotion of renewable raw materials. More about this here.

DGFZ Award Particularly interesting for postgraduate and doctoral students, the trend-setting results as an award for publication in applied farm animal science or veterinary medicine of farm animals. International DLG Awards: Awards for young professionals aged 18 to 24 in vocational training. As well as young professionals who have completed full vocational training and / or most studies or further training up to the age of 36 years. People with good technical qualifications, volunteer commitment, open mindedness and interest in international cooperation are eligible for funding. Wilhelm Rimpau Prize: Also, DLG Field Day honors three of the best innovative and practice-based bachelor’s and master’s theses in plant production. The prize money is 2,000 for first place, € 1,500 for second place and € 1,000 for third place. More about this here.

German Corn Committee Sponsorship Award eV For outstanding, practice-based scientific work in all aspects of corn cultivation. Rewards are given for coursework, final papers or scientific work which is not more than one year. Prize winners must be a graduate of a technical college or university under the age of 35. Guard Sonlitner Award: Rentenbank honors young farmers under the age of 35 who volunteer to balance interests in rural areas. They were honored with a 3,000 prize money for their social commitment. More about this here.

Wilhelm Schumann Foundation: Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement in Animal and Agricultural Sciences by Masters / Diploma students and doctoral students at institutes in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
