Today, Wednesday, the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research discussed with the Bulgarian Embassy in Palestine the possibility of increasing the number of scholarships offered to provide the best opportunities for Palestinian students.
It comes as part of a follow-up to a meeting with the Bulgarian ambassador to the Palestinian state, Jorge Milinov, at the ministry’s headquarters in Ramallah, and a meeting with Shadi al-Hello, director general of grants and student services. The Bulgarian government provides grants for Palestinian students.
Al-Hello said: “We hope that the Bulgarian grants will be in the specific disciplines that Palestine needs,” and thanked the Bulgarian government for its support of “Higher Education” Minister Dr. Mahmoud Abu Muwais. His unwavering cooperation with the Ministry for grants and benefits.
For his part, Milinov praised the enduring cooperation between Bulgaria and Palestine, and expressed his readiness to make further efforts to give Palestinian students a better chance of finishing their studies in Bulgaria.
