Abu Dhabi, April 13 / WAM / Professor Barry O’Mahney, Dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Abu Dhabi, has been awarded the “Dean of the Year” at the International Beta Gamma Sigma Awards.
Beta Gamma Sigma is a prestigious international organization derived from the Association of Advanced Undergraduate School of Business “AACSB”, and has been nominated by Professor O’Mahani University’s Beta Gamma Sigma Department, with more than 615 Deans from around the College of Business worldwide receiving awards. Among the top 38 universities in the country.
Professor O’Mahoney was awarded the ‘Dean of the Year’ award in recognition of his commitment to providing students with an exemplary academic experience and for his continued support in developing curricula in line with the best international standards.
The Beta Gamma Sigma Award for Dean of the Year is a recognition and honor given to a distinguished dean who has made significant contributions throughout the academic year to the success of his university’s Beta Gamma Sigma department.
The Dean of the Year awardees demonstrated exceptional leadership skills for their department and demonstrated the highest level of honesty and commitment in keeping with Beta Gamma Sigma values and principles.
Professor O’Mahani said, “I am proud to receive this prestigious international award, which demonstrates our continued commitment to our students and ensures ADU’s business school position as one of the top business schools.”
He added, “The award is a valuable addition to the prestigious international honors and recognition that the college enjoys, including two accredited EQUIS” European System for Quality Development and AACSB “Association of Advanced University College of Business in USA. Only about 1% of colleges make it into the global business administration that combines these two accreditation, and these accreditations contribute to the advancement of advanced curricula that prepare students for excellence in the labor market. ”
For his part, the President of Abu Dhabi University, Professor Waqar Ahmed, congratulated Professor O’Mahani, saying that the award was the best proof of the great success achieved by the students and faculty members of the University.
